If the slopes don’t do it for you, daytime adventure at Lake Tahoe goes beyond skiing and boarding. There’s boat cruise options on the Bleu Wave from Zephyr Cove Marina, tubing hills, ice skating, scenic hikes around Emerald Bay, Fallen Leaf Lake or you can take a romantic stroll along Tahoe’s famed beaches like Lakeview Commons, Camp Richardson, Zephyr Cove and Nevada Beach.
Return to The Ridge Tahoe with plans to pamper yourself and your significant other with the guidance of professional staff at Elevation Spa located onsite. In room couple massages are available for the special weekend.
After a day of adventuring and pampering, you’ll surely be hungry. Head over to The Hungry Bear Restaurant inside The Ridge Tahoe for a romantic Valentine’s Day dinner.
Led by executive chef Stephen J. Moise, the restaurant will prepare a fine dining experience beginning with the “First Impression”: a choice of seared scallop with celery root puree, pear vinaigrette and spicy pecans; or mixed baby greens with beets served with a pomegranate vinaigrette. Next guests will enter the “The Longing” course featuring a choice of grilled filet with cherry pinot demi; roasted lobster tail with sweet garlic butter; herb crusted sea bass with mushroom cream; or crispy organic chicken with sherry whole mustard sauce. Entrees are accompanied by fingerling potatoes, cauliflower and leeks. Finally for dessert, enjoy “The Forever Remembering” course of a chocolate pistachio cannoli with passion fruit sauce.
