Get Your Nightlife Groove Going Tahoe South Style This Summer

“When the daylight ends, the nightlife begins” is a theme that runs deep through Tahoe South among folks who come here to play. Sure there’s quiet time and family time. But there’s also foot stomping, hard rocking, get your groove on time.

Where do you begin? First you book your stay at The Ridge Tahoe. Enjoy our complimentary health club, indoor sports complex, tennis, indoor/outdoor swimming pools, jacuzzis and a full service spa. Spend a day at the lake, and return for happy hour at the Bear Trap Bar and dinner at the Hungry Bear Restaurant. After that, let The Ridge shuttle bus whisk you down the hill to the casino area for nightlife adventure.

Nightclubs, live music, concerts and comedy - Tahoe South has whatever you're looking for in your nightlife scene.

Home to world-class casinos, Tahoe South is the place to get your game on. You may feel slightly virtuous after spending the day in the great outdoors: time to undo that feeling. If ever there was a place to rally, Lake Tahoe South Shore is it.

Stateline casinos attract big-name entertainment, so you could catch a headline show and follow the performance by checking out the after-hours nightclubs and bars both on and off the casino corridor.

The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Lake Tahoe is the latest rock ’n roll themed resort to open, offering live music nightly and an outdoor concert series featuring reggae and bluegrass festivals this summer.

Music and nightlife is at MontBleu Resort Casino & Spa. Catch any number of chart topping this summer on stage in the MontBleu Theater (can you say Third Eye Blind and Dashboard Confessional, comedian Carlos Mencia and legendary Three Dog Night?)  Or take in Opal Ultra Lounge, where fantasy meets reality as regional and national deejays get the blood pumping and the dance floor jumping.

Famous not only for its top-tier acts at the South Shore Room, Harrah’s Lake Tahoe is the place to party seven nights. There’s Casino Center Stage featuring DJ and keyboard player Arthur Hervey. After all, there’s no party without Arty, who covers everyone from Van Morrison to Shaggy. Then hit the dance floor at the always fresh, always lively PEEK Nightclub, which features 6,700-square-feet of optimal nightlife, live entertainment and VIP amenities. Then tune in. PEEK host some of the world’s biggest names in entertainment.

Then there’s Harveys Lake Tahoe. What can we say other than we are grateful Harveys has owned the summer live music venue with its famed summer concert series. Among this summer’s shows are Aerosmith, Kenny Chesney, Jackson Browne, Elton John and Imagine Dragons. The music continues over at Cabo Wabo Cantina, with bands nightly.

And when you feeling like switching it up, head on over to the Improv at Harveys featuring today’s hottest A-list and rising star comedians with emcee Howie Nave. This summer features headliners acts like Bobby Slayton, Nick Griffin, John Caponera, Rocky LaPorte, Graham Elwood and Bobby Collins. Shows are Wednesday-Sundays, 9 p.m. The Improv is dark on Mondays and Tuesdays.

For entertainment outside the casino corridor we recommend the Beacon Bar and Grill at Camp Richardson featuring live music on the deck, Himmel Haus featuring German and Belgian beers, area-sourced Bavarian dishes and live music. There’s McP’s Tap House Grill for if you’re looking to get your Irish on, catch a game on 20 big screen TVs or take in live music. Also worth checking out is Cold Water Brewery and Grill, a South Shore gathering spot where locals and visitors can unwind, connect and refuel featuring handcrafted beer and California comfort food.
