Live at Lakeview: Where the locals go on Thursday nights
One of the most-asked questions The Ridge Tahoe concierges get from guests is where locals go for live entertainment.
For A-list concert superstars, there’s the Harveys Summer Concert Series, which will bring blockbuster acts this summer such as Aerosmith with Slash, Lady Gaga, Carrie Underwood, Bruno Mars and the Eagles.
The venue is popular with locals if they can get tickets (sells out fast – sometimes within hours of going on sale) and brings in fans from across the country.
Another popular option, where you will find Tahoe South locals enjoying the lake, the sun, live music and scenery is Thursday evenings at Lakeview Commons. Live at Lakeview is a free summer music series that features live music from top local, regional and national touring music acts.
The series takes place every Thursday from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. through August 28 at Lakeview Commons.
Food, beverage and music lovers of all ages are invited to enjoy this free live smoke-free music event that features unique local vendors along the shore of beautiful Lake Tahoe at El Dorado Beach. With stunning views, stand up paddle board rentals, a beautiful sandy beach, amphitheater seating, the event has turned into “the place” where locals meet on Thursdays.
Parking is limited and many locals bike or hike in. Check with the Ridge Tahoe concierge about shuttle buses that will take you from The Ridge Tahoe to Live at Lakeview.
