Halloween heats up around Lake Tahoe
Check into The Ridge Tahoe and check out some of the Halloween inspired activities beginning this weekend. Not interested in driving? The Ridge Tahoe Shuttle and BlueGo will take you to and from the resort into South Shore for the frightening festivities.
“Peek-A-Boo… I See You” brings burlesque, hip-hop, acrobatic, and aerial styles to the stage in a Halloween-themed production on Friday, Oct. 25, beginning at 8 p.m. in the South Shore Room of Harrah’s Lake Tahoe. This will be an evening where your nightmares and your fantasies collide. Tickets include free admission to Peek Nightclub after the show.
Head spinning Halloween costume get-ups will be mashed into a giant four-ring party at one price, Saturday, Oct. 26 during the 35th Annual Freaker’s Ball at MontBleu Resort Casino & Spa with $10,000 in cash and prizes up for grabs. The spooky festivities continue with Peek’s “Yeah Boy! It’s Halloween” hosted by Flavor Flav on Oct. 31 and MontBleu’s “Exotic Halloween Bash,” Oct. 31 at Opal Nightclub.
The 11th Annual Treat Street will be held on Halloween night at South Lake Tahoe’s Pine Cone Acre Motel. This year’s event is sponsored by the Tahoe Area Coordinating Council for the Disabled (TACCD) and the Tahoe Sierra Kiwanis Aktion Club. All trick or treaters are invited to this free evening of fun and games from 5 – 8 p.m. There will be a haunted house, bounce house, mini golf, pie eating contest and additional surprises. Free hot chocolate, candy and s’mores are also included. Still hungry? Hotdogs will be available for a $1.
Halloween Cove returns to South Lake Tahoe at the Tahoe Beach Retreat & Lodge (formerly Timber Cove Lodge) from 4 – 8 p.m. KTHO Radio is the sponsor of this fun filled evening which includes trick or treating, live music from Jesse Kalin, Boys & Girls Club Bounce House, face painters, balloon artist, children’s photos, and fire safety instruction by Tahoe Douglas Fire Department. The event is free for all ages.
A big Halloween party — The Halloween Spectacular — at the American Legion in South Lake Tahoe is not to be missed and all for a good cause. Groovebox and Adient Zoo are teaming up with the League to Save Lake Tahoe to bring on the biggest adult-themed Halloween bash in South Lake Tahoe. The party features music, food and drink specials, plus a costume contests. The party begins at 8 p.m.
