Celebrate the 4th of July From Sun-Up to Sun-Down
Summer has officially begun! And what better way to spend your summer getaway than in Tahoe South. From high-end dining to summer concerts surrounded by happy spirits, Lake Tahoe features some of the best activities from sun-up to sun-down.
Celebrate red, white and blue – sans the snow! – at the Ridge Tahoe this Fourth of July.
Check into the Ridge Tahoe, where the list of amenities and breathtaking panoramic views of the sparkling lake never disappoint. With three tennis courts, a variety of on-site fitness classes, outdoor areas for barbecuing and family gatherings, the list of comforts offered are endless. Plus, the central location makes for easy access to the Tahoe entertainment and nightlife. With the 4th of July falling on a Tuesday, there are several events to attend before the holiday hits.
Set the sounds of summer at the Live at Lakeview Summer concert series. Starting Thursday, June 22 through Aug. 31, this series features some of the best talents in rock, pop, and soul. With a concert every Thursday, Live at Lakeview features a variety of local merchants and delicious food options in addition to amphitheater-style seating and sunset scenes from the beer garden.

The Beach Retreat and Lodge is throwing their 4th of July BBQ and Beach Party which is perfect for people of all ages. The beach party begins at 11 a.m. and will serve tropical and freedom influenced spirits throughout the day. Families are invited to a day of patriotic vibes and sunshine on a sandy Tahoe beach, offering cabanas, umbrella and lounge chair rentals.
After enjoying a day in the sun, grab your beach towel and find a spot on the lake to view the greatest firework display in Tahoe. “Lights on the Lake” ignites the skies with glorious colors of red, white and blue, leaving viewers dazzled by the sight. The show is scheduled to begin around 9:45 p.m.and is visible in Tahoe South. Check out Tahoe South’s website for more information on where to find the best view of the show.

An array of performances and activities will take place throughout the weekend in Tahoe South. The California Reggae inspired group, Rebelution, will be performing at Harveys Outdoor Arena Friday, June 30 at 5:30 p.m. On Sunday, July 2 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., enjoy a free concert featuring the singer/songwriter Red Rose at the Valhalla Art, Music, and Theater Festival.
