Spring is fast approaching and with it comes Easter Sunday, as well as a slew of events that herald the change of seasons. Hop into this holiday weekend with all of the great happenings in Tahoe South.
Easter Day Festivities
Spend Easter morning in Meyers for a classic Easter egg hunt. Hosted by Lake Valley Fire Protection District, this quest will take you throughout Tahoe Paradise Park and around Lake Baron. Children will be delighted by the special appearance of a fire truck and the big man himself, the Easter Bunny! The Easter egg hunt begins at 9 a.m. and be on the lookout for golden eggs for an extraordinary prize.
Another option for springtime fun is at Sierra-at-Tahoe where they’ll host the Easter Eggstravaganza on the new solstice Plaza. Bring your basket to discover “egg-cellent” treasures left behind by the Easter Bunny. Sierra-at-Tahoe isn’t leaving out the adults: an on-mountain Easter egg hunt will follow for the kids at heart.
The Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour invites you to “ignite your passion for adventure, action, and travel” when it returns to Tahoe. One of the most prestigious mountain festivals in the world, the Banff Mountain Film Festival features beautiful and stimulating films from around the world. Discover some of the best mountain film makers on the big screen at MontBleu on March 28.
Following the Banff Festival, the 11th Annual Wild and Scenic Film Festival comes to MontBleu on March 31. While visually breathtaking, this film festival’s goal is to inspire activism to care for our environment with proceeds benefitting Sierra Nevada Alliance and the Sierra Nevada AmeriCorps Partnership.
