There are 36 holes waiting to be played at the Genoa Lakes Golf Club Lakes Course or the Genoa Ranch Course just 20 minutes from The Ridge Tahoe.

Rated third-best course in the state and annually rated one of the top courses on the West Coast, the Lakes Course at Genoa Lakes has 18 championship holes in a magnificent natural setting framed by the awe-inspiring Sierra Nevada.

Performance is the name of the game on the Lakes Course. Co-designed by PGA Champion Peter Jacobsen and John Harbottle III, this links-style course is where rolling fairways meets head-on with the eastern slopes of the Sierra. Fall colors are prime this time of year. Lush wetlands and the winding Carson River bring water into play on 14 holes, making long, straight drives the order of the day.

Built for power and distance, the Ranch Course cuts into the rugged Sierra Nevada foothills. The course offers wide open spaces, spectacular high desert views, more than 300 feet of elevation changes, more than 100 bunkers, unpredictable mountain terrain and afternoon breezes that will stir those leaves on the ground.

With more trees than any other nearby course, every hole could be considered a signature one. The cool rush of the Carson River, the natural shade of its century-plus century old cottonwood trees and the longest golfing season in the area gives the Carson Valley Golf Course a unique character unlike anywhere in Northern Nevada.

The 18-hole par 71 course features a 111-slope rating and is 6,020 yards from the blue tees. Tight fairways, water hazards on nine holes and small greens call for careful strategy that rewards the smart player with a strong risk-reward factor for the longer hitter.

Looking for a family fun outing that isn’t a traditional game of golf? Carson Valley Golf Course is Northern Nevada’s first FootGolf course. It’s fun. It’s different. It could be the perfect afternoon activity for your visit to The Ridge Tahoe.
