With the first snow of the season arriving at Lake Tahoe area ski resorts on the first day of fall, the early flakes are a sure sign that a powder-filled, adventure-packed winter is around the corner. The countdown is on, so book your rooms now to get in on the 2013-2014 winter season.
Heavenly Mountain Resort will officially open Nov. 22 and it’s only a matter of Mother Nature’s whims that will determine when Ridge guests will be able to be whisked along the Hilltrac Skier Express, a self-operated, gondola-type car that transports skiers from the Resort to Heavenly’s Stagecoach Chairlift. The eight-passenger funicular sits on a track and with the swipe of a room key, will move passengers down the slope in less than 3 minutes. The Ridge offers on-site ski rentals, tune-ups, apparel, gear, and Heavenly lift tickets which is adjacent to the resort.
Whether you’re looking to bring your spouse, significant other or packing up the family for a ski trip, The Ridge offers six ski Getaway lodging packages with stays in either a deluxe hotel room or one or two bedroom condominiums. Half of the packages also offer a spa option.
The Ski Getaway packages include lodging, two hot breakfasts at The Ridge Club Deli and two interchangeable lift tickets.
The Spa and Ski Getaway packages include lodging, two to six treatments at Elevation Spa (depending on the package), and two to six interchangeable lift tickets.
Returning from a day on the mountain, there’s a 45,000 square-foot clubhouse with an indoor sports complex, full spa, heated swimming pool, hot tubs, indoor tennis, racquetball and basketball courts, athletic instructors, complimentary laundry facilities and full-service lounge. Guests can pamper themselves at the Elevation Spa which offers facials, massages, body treatments and rejuvenation from 60 minutes to 2.5 hours.
